It's very quiet here recently. There seems to have been a mass exodus from LJ in general. I was wondering, where do you guys go to for your recipes these days? Especially interested in baking comms and forums.

Hi all! I've been looking through reviews of cookbooks like Lick It! and The Vegan Scoop, and none of them really seem to wow their readers. Do you have recommendations for other good sources of vegan ice cream/sorbet/frozen dessert recipes? What I'd especially like is a top-notch base recipe that I can play around with. So, thanks to kaptnjack's comment on this post, I have fallen absolutely in love with supercook.com. I have made three different recipes from this website in twenty four hours, including:

Chopped Vegetable Salad with Garlic Dressing

Apple Crumble with Golden Raisins
(using vegan SmartBalance instead of butter, of course).

I was looking at the website of the local natural food store, and found a pretty nice archive of vegan recipes i thought i'd share with you guys :)

Does anyone subscribe to Bryanna Clark Grogan's Vegan Feast newsletter? It is $20 a year for recipes not available on her blog or cookbooks (blog here: veganfeast). By the looks of it, it seems to be a lot of meat/cheese substitutes, which I'm not really interested in... but I'd like to know if it's worth it to subscribe for more than that ( Read more... )
